Cool Tech JL Mic Mount

I am trying to install the CoolTech JL Mic Mount and I am having difficulty pulling the HVAC control panel off. I have been using a interior pry tool but I feel like i could break something. Anyone have experience pulling that panel off?

Yeah, I just did mine this weekend. I just used my finger nails, no tool. It took some effort, felt like something might break, but then it just came right off. Whole thing took like 5 minutes. Just work at it, it shouldn't break even tho it may sound like it.

Thanks for giving me the confidence to give it just one more pull. I got to the point where I was the other night and I pulled one more time and it popped off.
