Got in my Jeep today and had a constant “beep” when I turned on the radio. The higher I went with the volume, the louder it got. Thought something may need to be reset so I disconnected the battery and restarted it and it was still the same. I adjusted the mid on the equalizer and that seemed to have an effect but it was still there. It’s unbearable and it’s on every input(XM, FM, USB, and Bluetooth). Assuming this will have to go to the dealer(I need the steering damper replaced anyway). Anyone else experience this? Thanks in advance.

I had this exact thing happen to me yesterday. After shutting it off and restarting after about 30 minutes, the constant noise was gone. Maybe it had to reset itself somehow. It was definitely annoying. Glad it’s gone now. Hope you have the same luck I did with it.

That's a new one on me sir. But do keep us updated as you never know when one of us will need the fix. I hope the dealer can get it right. I understand how that can be very aggravating. Good luck.

Exact same thing happened to me. Shut it down, wait a few hours and restart it. Should fix itself.

I just tried it after a few hours and it appears to be fine now. That’s gonna drive me crazy not knowing what caused it. Just gonna be waiting on it to happen again.

It only happened to me once a few months ago.

This has happened to me several times, spaced several months apart. It usually occurs when I push one of the buttons on the touch screen (radio, navigation, telephone, ...). It's a constant noise (not a beeping sound), as if I were parking very close to a wall, and it doesn't stop unless I park and turn the engine off for around 45 minutes. This is a major problem if you're out on the highway on a long trip and it happens while you're driving. It's enough to drive you crazy. I'm guessing Jeep must know about this software bug. I took the car to the dealer, who claimed he did an electronic analysis and found nothing wrong. I told him to contact Jeep, but he said the manufacturer never gets back to him on stuff like this. Anyone else have a similar experience?
