I have the volant closed box “cai” with the Donaldson powercore filter. I like it for the filter mainly. The noise is pretty pronounced when you get on it, quite loud actually. But it’s tame when just driving normally. And the holes to draw the air into the box are pretty close to the stock location. Maybe a little lower. I was worried that my AAL inner fenders would let water into the box area where the air cutouts are but that’s not the case. I didn’t buy it to “get colder air to the engine”. I just wanted the Donaldson filter and a little more noise.
