Hey friends -

I'm doing some spring cleaning of my misc. Jeep parts cabinet and have these and before I throw them out was wondering if anyone in the group wants them.

- 6" Sport Radio - It had issues so I replaced it BUT if someone is looking to return their Jeep to stock to trade it could be useful

- Rubicon fender supports. I kept them because some people re-purpose them on chopped Rubi fenders to keep the bottom from folding in. I don't think I'm going to use them ever.

Anyone want? If not they are going in the trash this weekend.

Crazy to think that a vehicle at that price in 2019 came with a screen that size.

Yeah it was garbage also. Every time I started the Jeep after 20 seconds I'd hear a loud "pop" sound and the radio would reset itself. It would reset the clock every time I got in. I also hated that it would not default to bluetooth. It always defaulted to AM radio and I'd have to hit the media button to switch over.

I replaced with an Alpine which also has it's quirks. It should default to my phone but sometimes instead defaults to AM radio. It also freezes sometimes and makes a high pitched wailing sound until I can get to a stop to turn the Jeep off and back on.

Crazy to think how many people need 12” screens just to function in life. I’d rather rock a single din alpine from 1998 over the tablets they put in cars now.

My first car at 16 had no screen. I remember buying an MP3 player before iPods were a thing. It could hold 15 songs and then you could switch over to a flash card and have 15 more songs.

That I'd set the radio to a certain frequency and had a transmitter that plugged into the mp3 player so it would play over the radio.

Wild times.

My point was more about paying $40-$50K for a vehicle and getting that as you dash option.
