Has anyone taken advantage of this? I'm expecting my JLUR to be delivered before month end and was wondering if dealers charge hidden fees when you finance through them? Do you guys recommend I use my own bank? I've used Chase for all my prior cars and have no experience with dealer financing.

Is it available on the wrangler? Look at cash back vs interest.

Wranglers were always excluded every time I looked. The promo APR is usually applicable to like the Renegade and Compass with the occasional select GC trims. If it is included and it’s not blowing up the OTD price you’ve agreed to already, go for it.

Yeah the 0% fo 36 months has been on a while, think it was available when I got mine but I need do to 60/72 to keep this thing affordable. I can get 3.5% at 72 months from credit union so not horrible. Payments would be $1,000/month at 36 months/0%, a little rich for my blood :)

I used it when I bought mine in June. No extra fees beyond the normal things they try to upsell. I declined them all and still got 0% for 36 months. I was planning to pay cash so 0% was a good deal.

0% for 36 months is great. I'd gladly take that.
Navy federal does 2.29% for 72 months. Not awful if you're steering away from a short loan duration.

Dealers make money on financing and always have, but that doesn’t matter. There are two questions to answer:
1) How does the dealer/FCA finance deal compare with what you can get through your bank or credit union?
2) Is the dealer/FCA rate contingent, as it often is, on forgoing another form of support, like cash back? If so, you have to compare the credit union offer as though you were buying it down with whatever cash is being offered as an alternative to cheap financing.

I am likely going to take a higher dealer rate to net the 2% vehicle discount for using their financing. 0% for 36 months or 1.9% for 48 months probably won't make up for the 2% off discount.

Of course, a lot depends on how much you will actually be financing to determine your best deal.

No, my dealer was great. He didn't try to sell me extended warranty, paint protection, window etching or anything else. I crunched the numbers and my monthly payment adds up to what I financed, no finance charges or insurance or anything else - just 0%.
