Can anyone relate here? Daily driver, heated garage.
So i had the Christmas tree dashboard, no start condition. I've never seen a vehicle freak out like this every imaginable light- ESS, Tranmission, "pull vehicle over", even anti theft screen, and more.
I took the aux battery out of the equation (disconnected negative, removed fuse 42). My main battery measured 12.5 volts. Tried to start and still Christmas tree dashboard. Even tried a jump box, nothing.
Got a new Can Bus from the dealer (~$90), installed it, still Christmas tree dashboard.
Put a trickle charger on main battery overnight, and the jeep fires up in the morning. What the hell! does that mean it freaks out with a battery voltage under 12.5v? Seems unreasonable.
Tonight i'm going to put the old, suspected bad CAN bus back in place (with a fully charged battery) and see if i get the Christmas tree dash or not.
