This was one section of the forum I was trying to avoid (at least for posting an issue), I thought I was the lucky one to have an issue free JL. I have a 4-month-old Punk'N JLU Rubicon, 2L with 6800 miles on it and sadly it hasn't left the pavement yet. I took a trip down from Allentown Pa. to Winchester Va. yesterday and last night I traveled down a hill, applied the brakes to make a right turn into a subdivision when I heard a chime and lost power steering. With difficulty, I was able to turn the steering to avoid hitting the sign but when I tried to pull the hill, the engine revved as if it were in neutral. There was a message on the screen that suggested a restart was necessary, Upon restart, I was able to pull the hill and drive a 1/4 mile to my brother's house. The check engine light remained lit but everything else seemed ok. I parked it outside overnight and began reading through the forums. I found where folks suggested to seat the fuses and relays. Because it was raining outside, I decided to pull the Jeep into the garage and when I started it, the chime rang, the charging symbol appeared and I placed it into reverse and it sat still, I put it in park and then reverse and it moved but started running rough then the dash lights flashed on and off, the gauges started moving back and forth, I was able to get the jeep halfway through the door and I decided to restart. When I restarted, the chimes rang again but I was able to back it up and put it neutral, not only did the dash lights continue to flash but the began to rev and I shut it off. At that point, I called a tow truck to take the Jeep to the dealer that I happened to buy it from in Virginia. In preparation, I thought I would push it outside but at this point, I was no longer able to have the jeep start or place into ACC or Run to allow me to move the gear selector from P to N. I found the tether to manually place it in neutral and off it went to the dealer. The service manager told me he would call tomorrow, 5/13/19 and give me an update. Other than that It has been a great vehicle with no hint of issues.
