I checked my fused while doing a delivery inspection and found 9 fuses and relays not seated properly. The salesman told me that fuses were like an extension cord; as long as it was in far enough to make a contact, all was good.

I refrained from telling him to plug his finger into a socket and test that theory out.

Checked my this morning. Numerous fuses were not seated- not to the point of popping out but not completely seated. I put some pressure on those that were loose and they seated properly. Not sure they were loose enough to cause an issue but rather be safe.

For some of the fuses (circled in blue) are those supposed to be pushed all the way in or are those spares? They don't seem to want to be seated and the way they are sitting that high makes me think they might be spares. I just don't want to push too hard on them because that would create more problems

I'll be doing this today hopefully! Thank you!
@TaiMc

You would be wise to do so. Oh... the cover removes easily. When you place the cover back on, be sure to pull the little plastic latches in an outwardly fashion. Do this then tug up on the cover to be sure it is fastened tightly. It is not unusual for someone to just set the cover on, push down and not to have the latches grab. The outward pull on the latches makes them definitely grab the cover.

'Preciate it! I'll probably check it in my parking lot before I leave work today. :like:

I just wish replacing my air filter had the same setup as the fuse box. I hate having to remove all those screws!

Even the spares get pushed firmly down. Push those encircled in blue down or they may fall out and be bouncing around. 8-) They will be riding higher so to speak then all the other fuses.

It literally only takes a couple of minutes to check them. I did it early this morning during a light rain and I was barely wet went I got back into the house. :)

lol Thanks, I'm not worried :)

If I can change the spark plugs in my previous vehicle, I'm sure I can check the fuses with limited issues! :cwl:

I wasn't doubting your skills. I only mentioned that it would only take a few minutes because you said you were going to check them in your employer's parking lot when you got off work. I was just assuring that it wouldn't take long. After all, who wants to hang around their work at the end of the day?! ;)

Those are indeed spares so they won't click in like the other ones but they should still be captured (friction) with plastic tabs to keep them from falling out.

Yes, don't worry, I didn't assume otherwise. :)

Just didnt want yall worrying about me!

So...I checked. Three fuses weren't snapped in, and one of them was loose. Like I think it was jus sitting there, maybe not connecting at all bc when i pulled it there was no tension. I touched it and that jokah wobbled! :surprised:

Imma look at the diagram Rhine attached to indicate which one it was.

All the rest were secured. The lid was easy to remove and snap back in :) !

F91 (Horn) was totally loose. I touched it with my index finger and it wobbled! So i pulled it out with no tension. Then i put it back in but it NEVER snapped. No matter how hard i pressed.

There were 2-3 more fuses that weren't snapped in. I was able to press and snap them in with no issue. The rest of my fuses were secured as I did 3 "rounds" of pressing all fuses.
