Just in time for Black Friday, we are super excited to announce we just launched an entirely new website!

My goal was to make our dual battery systems and accessories even easier to understand and easier to find the products and info you need.

Check it out and let me know what you think, and also let me know if you see anything that is confusing, broken links, or otherwise just needs some improvement. I'd love to hear your feedback so that we can continue making the site even better!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks! When the positive cable of the aux battery is connected to the big battery, the Jeep's diagnostic system thinks that the batteries are stuck connected together because it doesn't see a voltage difference anymore. After 6 cycles of the Stop/Start system, the Jeep will disable ESS and show an icon on the dash until the next manual ignition cycle then the 6 cycle counter resets back to 0. Obviously with our dual battery system installed, this is intentional, since our smart battery combiner now handles connecting/disconnecting the batteries. Nothing needs to be done about that, and it does not cause any issues. Hope this helps!

The scrolling banner near the top, nothing happens when I click on things like the Black Friday deals and what not.

Yeah it's just an announcement banner, no links in there. Thanks for taking a look!

This was a perfectly harmless question Ralph that you had every right to ask.

That said, and I think Shane of Genesis Offroad would agree, that his otherwise excellent dual Group 25 battery kit https://www.genesisoffroad.com/products/gen3-jl-dual-battery-kit--as opposed to his stock battery replacement and relocation kits not subject to this 6 ESS events per cold crank "limitation"--is not for everyone.

It is geared around mostly those with heavy appliance loads, particular drawing current when the engine and alternator are not backfilling that current, so as to optimize and manage those loads in ways that both insure the ability to cold crank back home after such power draws, along with maximizing the ability to monitor and draw that current out of the batteries without overdrawing and negatively effecting their life span.

For such use case owners, dare I say for most use case owners, limiting oneself to only 6 ESS sessions per cold crank is a pretty pretty small tradeoff IMHO.

Of course my driving habits differ from that of others but I don't think, despite my ESS system running as per factory, given that I trickle charge my batteries, I've ever hit 6 ESS events per cold crank, much that I'm sure that others (although a suspect a small percentage) have or regularly do: maybe those who drive in considerable start and stop traffic.
