Me again. Checked coolant level this morning didn't register on dipstick so I added the correct coolant, about a pint. Is it supposed to be checked with the Jeep running? Thank you.

Should be above MIN with engine cool. If you sucked in air you may need to check it through several hot/cold cycles as it works its way out.

No, do not check when it is running. If the engine is cold, off, the level should register above MIN.

If you do a warm check, it should be above min but below MAX. Never open a hot radiator or overflow tank. Read the owner's manual if you need clarification on how to check the level.

My 2.0 was reading below min shortly after I purchased it new. I added enough to bring it up to max when the engine was cold. In 2,000 miles of driving since then the level hasn't changed so I'm thinking there's air from the factory or it's just under-filled.

Page 408 of 2021 owners manual for the 2.0 turbo:

408 SERVICING AND MAINTENANCE
With the engine OFF and cold, the level of the
engine coolant should be within the OK range between the ADD and FULL range on the dipstick.
  1. Remove the cap with level dipstick from the engine coolant bottle.
  2. Clean off the coolant from the dipstick.
  3. Rest the cap on the opening of the coolant bottle without tightening the cap.
  4. Remove the cap with dipstick and check the coolant level on the dipstick.
