Hey there: Welcome to Phoenix, lived here since 1985, stay away from the west and south side of I-10. Chandler and Gilbert south of the 202 is very nice, good schools. Hopefully you aren't driving downtown or to the west side, it isn't bad if you leave early but the drive home from September to April is brutal.
