I just picked up my JL and haven’t had a chance to play with the hotspot yet, but why would we pay for a hotspot for the car when most of us can use our phone as a hot spot.

I guess it works be nice for the kids so I wouldn't have to make phone Hotspot. I'm with AT&T and have unlimited data so it should be free. I'll have to check this out. But even with unlimited data, AT&T pumps the breaks on you at a certain gig, like 16-20 gigs or some shit.... So I guess with some vehicle wifi you wouldn't be burning data..
