How to disable CarPlay from connecting while using Bluetooth on Android?

I use my Android phone to stream Pandora over bluetooth. Wife has an Iphone and connects to the front USB to charge her phone.

Any time she has anything on her phone that plays sound (Apple music, Facebook, Instagram), it immediately interrupts my bluetooth connection and starts playing her phone thru CarPlay.

How can I stop this? It's driving me nuts! I even had her plug into the USB inside the center console. Same thing...

Have her plug her USB cable into a charge only port. The one USB port on the back side of the center console/ on the passenger side is charge only.

Have her plug in her USB cable there and run the cable along side of the console/forward to her smartphone /to her in front the passenger seat.

Get her a charge only cable or use a data blocker.
