Carpet missing

In between the driver's seat and the arm rest storage the carpet is missing showing the white metal floor.
It is like that on both sides. It seems like the carpet was cut too short. Does anyone else's 2023 4XE have this flaw? It seems like quality control should have caught this. Debris can get down underneath the carpet easily.
Any solutions out there?

On black Jeeps, you never see it. It's not a flaw, just the way it is on being cheap by the manufacturer.

I use a gap filler that catches stuff, they are universal, after I got it, I saw some people using foam pipe insulation, the FPI it's a couple of dollars, and might be the best way to go.

The gap filler will look like you can store stuff in it etc, it's generally useless to put stuff in, also all the junk and dust it's trapping just make a mess of your stuff you are storing in it, I have it so I use it, otherwise I would go the foam insulation route.

It’s been that same way on every JL/JLU since 2018. As mentioned above, on a black painted vehicle you’d never really notice.

Odd because my white 2021 high altitude had carpet all the way up to the bottom of the arm rest. No gap.
