Hey all!

I have a new 2023 2 door. I used to have "safari straps" on an old JKU back 10 years ago, and I'd love to find an equivalent product for my 2 door JL, but have had no luck so far. I tried this product (https://www.amazon.com/RT-TCZ-Restraint-Protective-Wrangler-Unlimited/dp/B07VN5JBDX/ref=sr_1_22) but even though it says "JL / JLU" in the title, it doesn't fit on the two door.

There's a lot of products offering protection for just the rear, but I'd really like the side coverage and I just can't seem to find something that's includes the side panels. No luck searching the forum so far either.

Anyone here have anything they recommend?

thanks!

Don't know how much you wanna spend, but check out raingler.com. It can get a little pricey, but there nets are top notch. I have the their security net that attaches directly behind the front seats of my 2dr and acts like a barrier between the front and cargo area. I don't have the rear seat in mine.

I saw the raingler nets. Unfortunately, I’m planning to get a besttop top, and it sounds like those don’t play nicely with Raingler nets. So i was hoping for a pure Velcro solution.

I wouldn't be using both at once. I'd want to put in the nets when I take the besttop windows out, but i'd want a quick and easy instal / uninstall to support that.

Yeah, I heard the raingler nets wouldn't work with a besttop top, but Raingler's own site suggests otherwise.

I'm going to wait till I get my besttop installed, and then will look over the instructions to see if any red flags come out to me, but I'll give that a shot if fit looks viable and update here

I ended up going a different route than anything mentioned here and am happy with the result. I got these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0B1J2T26Y?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title and am attaching them with Velcro strips instead of the hooks. Works well for my use case - I only expect to use it a few times per year and my dogs are elderly so this is more than enough as they have no intent of being escape artists. I then got one of the generic JL straps for across the back.

I know this is two years later but maybe that's the perfect time to follow-up. Are you still using that set-up with the Velcro strips? And do you have any pics you could post that show what it looks like and how they've weathered? I'm in the same boat with a 2022 Wrangler JL with a German Shepherd and a Golden Retriever and am having a hard-time finding an affordable solution.

I have searched and searched for Safari Strap replacements and have found none. I used them on my 2012 JKU and they were awesome. I think thye are out of business.

I'll probably try out the raingler nets, but they look nothing like the Safari Straps. Safari Straps made some high quality gear.
