Recently I built this cargo area secure (semi-secure, I suppose) enclosure. Its working good for me. The tailgate (when locked) keeps the lid secure. I wasn't originally planning to make the lid so that it opened, but halfway through the project it dawned on me that it might come in handy for accessing items in the far corners. I'm thinking now that I might add tiedown anchors at the corners.. It holds out beach chairs perfectly!..:)

How is it secured up front? And is the tailgate the only thing securing it on the back?

NTX, Its fastened down at the OEM tiedown locations with steel brackets. Actually, I was able to use the same bolts, so the whole thing can be easily and quickly removed.
