How far from the border do you live? And do you have any friends that live close to the south side of the border? Getting it shipped to them is an option to save on the cost of shipping.... I know it's what I plan on doing when I get my metalcloak full belly skidplates! ?
It has been over a decade since I last drove across - We're less than an hour from the border, and will look into that. I am thinking of driving down and getting a Harbor Freight Apex 12k synthetic winch from their nearest store to me, and check out the freight forwarding process while down there.

I've also heard that there are relatively affordable options for getting a PO Box or something of the sort for Canadians to set up in the US for them to have an American mailing address. I don't know much about it, but it's a viable options and depending on how honest you are at the border you can save on the customs import (I think any purchased goods over $200 CAD are subject to duty taxes if memory serves me correctly) if you go this route as well.

that’s what I did, i got the apex on sale for like 25% off and free shipping. Which gets shipped to a P.O. Box and then gets Forwarded to Canada.100% you pay duties, it is still way cheaper
