I’m just thinking ahead and trying to figure out if this can be done properly without having to take it to the dealer to have them hook it up to their computers to do it.

I’m new to this and would appreciate any info or guidance on whether it’s possible and what I’d need to purchase for this 21 3.6 if it is.

Thanks all.

jscan works for this.
Thanks. That wouldn’t be too bad on cost. Can’t say I’d know what I need to buy though.

Do ya know if this just as accurate as having the dealer do it? After I’m done with the head gaskets and replacing all the timing wear items, I’m thinking I’ll need the cam-crank relearn. The dealer is 45 mins away which seems far to drive it without doing that first. Plus I need to let the coolant level stabilize first so more operating time there before I’d even be able to go on the hwy.

The jscan app is about $25, a dongle to connect via Bluetooth is about $125, and cables are $30. Several different ways to do this. There is a thread describing all the different ways to connect jscan somewhere here. All in all, $200 and you have everything you need to cam/crank relearn and a bunch of other stuff.

Awesome Thanks for the feedback. I didn’t know about Jscan doing this too. I might just switch from the Tazer as I think the Jscan will enable cycling the ABS pump too for doing a proper brake bleed.
