Apologies if this has been asked and answered, but last night I removed the glove box door so I could see what was behind it (and broke the dampening bar in the process) when I noticed two bus bars at the bottom of the dashboard with many wires and several empty slots.

Does anyone know what these are for? My first thought was they were the speaker wires?

I've got a programmer that required a wire run from an unused pin on the ODB2 connector over to it. Unless you have something specifically designed to plug into it you probably shouldn't.

I don't think you can actually break the damper bar, they are designed as break away from the gear. If it is not physically broken, just detached from the gear, you can simply put it back on.

No I actually broke half of the gear housing off.
