Got a brand new Warn bumper. They don't do a wonderful job of packaging their product up and there are a couple of small chips in the paint/coating upon opening the box.

They will send me some touch up paint. I'm wondering if the coating will continue to peel and rust off at that location over time.

Anyone have experience with this? Am I better off requesting a new bumper?

Thanks!

If it's just a couple of small chips, spray-on bedliner and be done with it.

A new bumper will be shipped in the same manner and therefore is likely to be delivered in the same condition.

This may come across as dismissive, I hope not. It's a steel bumper used on a rig built for utility. Just put some paint, rhino-liner, or some protective coating of your choice. If this rig is not for utility, but for show & shine, I'd not order a bumper, but I'd drive to the factory and pick it up. Or, maybe even have it re-coated, at your expense, to look exactly as you want it.
