I bought a US Jack bottle jack for my new 2022 JLUR. It is about a foot high and 23 pounds. What are solutions for mounting/securing something this heavy inside a Wrangler? (I plan on discarding the OEM scissor jack, and it is too big for that space.) I thought about somehow putting into the hidden cargo area cubby, but I didn't see a way to secure it - so now I'm using that area for my recovery straps/gear.

I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing but have seen storing them on their side can cause them to leak. I might just get one with the hard case and use molle or Velcro strips to secure to rear of back seat inside cargo area.

I bought a bottle jack from harbor freight, and I store it in a homedepot zipper bag in the rear storage area.

If you want to go fancy you could buy the American Adventure Labs rear cubby compressor mount and make a hold down spot in it, or DIY a similar cubby piece. @Rangemaster ’s bag idea is the cheapest and easiest though.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
I've got so much crap in that cubby that my bottle jack won't budge, you could try that :)

I forgot about this thread! It got a lot of views, but no responses until this week. I didn't help that I put it into the wrong forum.

I sent an email to US Jack, and their General Manager replied with the following information:

"Thank you for purchasing one of our products and supporting USA made manufacturing. Ideally, you want to store the jack in the upright position. Unfortunately we don't produce or carry any mounting attachments for any of our products, besides a base plate for a couple of our long ram hydraulic jack models. The base casting is a 65-45-12 ductile iron casting and mounting holes can be drilled and tapped into the corners of the casting to secure it to a mount or vehicle without compromising it or it’s integrity. Other customers have created brackets that have a lip that extends over the top of one side/ edge of the base casting. This keeps the jack in place and prevents it from moving around during transport. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any other questions or concerns."
