I know what you're talking about, my wife Subaru Forester has one. Comes with the vehicle. When you open up the sunroof, the little mesh part comes up automatically like it's on a spring or something.

It's cool, if you don't like wind in your hair. But realistically if you don't like wind in your hair, why would you buy a convertible vehicle?

Personally I roll around with my windows down pretty much anything over 65°f.

Realistically speaking, you could probably stick one of those bug deflectors that you put on the hood, on the roof of the Jeep right above and behind where the front window sits. It would basically have the same effect, it just wouldn't cost you as much as a mesh one.

Also too, that's a cool premise for anyone sitting in the front seat, but if you got rear seat passengers, doesn't matter how big one of those you have on there, they're going to get hit with the full force of the wind.

He's not talking about the ones that pop up at the front of sunroofs. He's talking about a panel behind the rear seats.

Really reduces the wind turbulence and makes it so you can run in more extreme temps and get a little help from the climate control.

Anybody got a picture of one of those?

Sounds interesting.

Yup I had one of those. Sold it and upgraded to the M3 version. I had no idea that it was such a cult car until after I got it.
Yup. Styling that looks as fresh today as it did 20 years ago. Some people consider the E46 as the best generation of the 3 series

Once it warms up here in NY I wouldn't even think of using it, but for me anything under 80 degrees is a cool/cold day.

Here is a link for the wind deflector https://www.ebay.com/itm/252269831178
Interesting. I could definitely see how that would be helpful and how it would work.

It basically fixes the problem I have in my Wrangler right now..

It's not really too much of an issue, right now on the cold mornings drives to work, it's just roll up the front windows, turn the heat on high and suck it up.

But yeah all that air getting down on the floor behind me is always coming up rushing forward. And when that air is cold, there's only so much heat will do for you before you have to start putting on layers.

Very interesting.

They have those cargo area covers. Kind of like a tonneau cover, but for Jeeps. I wonder if you couldn't couple that with a modified mesh bikini top netting made for the rear portion of your Wrangler. Just tie it down a little bit lower.

I don't think you're going to find anything like that specifically made for Wranglers. Probably going to have to modify something yourself.

I've got an e46 M3 convertible too. Sadly, I think it's going up for sale soon. It doesn't get driven much anymore with having the Wrangler and the M5.

I had it out earlier this week for the first time in a really long time. It's still lots of fun.
