Blind Spot Sensor Location??

Where are the blind spot sensors located? I was driving on a dirt road yesterday with water/mud puddles, and after going through one puddle, I got a warning on my instrument panel about blind spot sensors and the yellow arrows are illuminated in my mirrors.

I'm hoping its just a dirty sensor, but I've driven through water/mud before and never had this problem.

Thanks. Today, even though I haven't washed anything, the warning light is gone. I know where to clean in the future.

My experience has been that when you cycle the power (shut engine off and restart) that will clear the fault.

I've had that happen when driving on a narrow dirt road with trees right next to the road on one side and a vertical hillside on the other. No mud puddles involved. I didn't notice any dash warning, but did see that the passenger side yellow arrow remained on. As others have mentioned, it fixed itself next engine restart.

I haven't bothered yet, but if expecting to drive in a lot of tight spots, like a slot canyon, just turn off the blind spot monitor!

Well ... ... ... my yellow triangle is now on constantly. Okay, technically it comes on when I first start the vehicle & put it into reverse, then it stays on.

I have ran a lot of water on the top side of the tail light, hoping to clean / clear off any dust that might have settled in there. It seems unlikely to me that this is the problem because I had a Gladiator before my JLU & drove a lot more dust road/trail conditions than my JLU has... well, technically I don't really know bc I bought the JLU used.

Good news is I am familiar with the location & box thingy of the blind spot monitor because once upon a time I swapped out my stock JT tail lights for the Oracle tail lights. Part of that process is transferring the blind spot monitor module from one tail light to the other.

I bought my 2020 JLURD used a little over a year ago. I've had the blind spot warning indicators stay on (both sides) a handful of times on startup. Always goes away with a shutdown/restart. No clue what the issue is. Jeep stays pretty clean, and has not been off road but once since purchased (unfortunately). It does not throw any codes when it happens. I just get the dash notice saying "Blind spot warning not available". I am curious what the cause is. Just a glitch?

Well, lastnight I removed the taillight, then removed the blindspot monitoring pack from the taillight. The pack is about the size of a deck of cards. Sorry, no pictures. I figure you can find them online, especially if you watch an Oracle install.

Next, with a damp paper towel, I washed off (1) the sensor (2) the plugs (3) the part of the taillight that the sensor "looks thru" to do its job.

Then I reassembled the taillight & all its gizmos, then reinstalled it into the rear quarter panel.

Nothing changed. Triangle on mirror still lights up & stays that way. Dash still says system is temporarily unavailable. (Sigh)

Any DTCs? Might help to pinpoint what the system thinks is wrong.
