I have the factory LED tail lights that have blind spot detection build in.

The backup lights on these things are so inadequate, it is beyond stupid.

I see their party options that should work, but they do not support blind spot detection,.

Is anyone aware of a third party tail light that provides decent light for backing up, as well as blind spot detection?

I'll bump since I have the same question.

Logically, I would think the Blind spot module "SHOULD" be able to be separated but things in life are not logical.

I'd just wire a small light bar tapped into your reverse light wire and keep your OEM LED tails since they're great lights otherwise.

I put one of these on our Sport, and it's been nice, I have aftermarket LED tails that have the same reverse LEDs that are lacking :(

Thank you for that. I am waiting for the new AEV bumpers to come out, and then I will just add some proper LED lights to the back to light things up.

You would think. You would also think that back up lights that actually effectively light things up would be a solved problem! Apparently, FCA proves otherwise. Again.

What many people don't realize is that reverse/backup lights are not installed on vehicles to actually light up anything behind you. They are installed as a means for other drivers and pedestrians to know you are backing up. That's it. With the introduction of backup cameras, more and more people complain that their reverse lights don't provide adequate lighting for the camera. Again, they aren't designed with that in mind.

Here is a video we made on how to swap the blind spot sensors over.

As for backup lights, adding LED spotlights in your bumper will help give you more usable light if the tail lights don't cut it.

Just saw this, have you tried it and if you did with which brand of light?
Thanks
