I've been on forums (jeeps, Corvettes, Camaros, motorcycles, trucks) since 2002 and never heard the Big 3.

Now I know.
The actual big 3 upgrade or the trolling ones?

The Big Three is larger gauge and/or higher quality wiring in 3 key areas to improve car audio output and quality: the battery negative to chassis ground cable, the engine block to chassis ground wire(s), and the alternator positive to battery positive cable.

The simple answer is that it can almost always improve the entire electrical system in any vehicle, including the sound system. I don’t have a Jeep to examine. But the auxiliary battery shouldn’t create a problem. I would think that for it to be effective though you also might need to enhance the wiring connecting the two batteries.
That was an option?

Must be a good feeling...check that one of your bucket list.
Granted I don't do a lot of electrical other than maybe a head unit swap.

I spent a lot of time around weight lifting forums as well and when I heard big 3 I thought bench, squat, deadlift :muscle::angel:

Thanks! Looks like I might need more 1/0g.
Unless you’re running SPL competition type gear that has massive electrical needs that’s way overkill. 2 AWG wire is overkill. High quality 4 AWG is more than enough, even for a high end system with multiple amps.

You're talking jumper cables, right? ;) In professional FOH live audio with 1000s of watts 12 AWG is more than sufficient in <50 foot runs.

I'm leaving room for upgrades ;). Also I'm getting them as christmas gifts so it's at no cost to me.

I'm going to go ahead and upgrade everything with this undersea cable. Can't be to too grounded you know! Read it on the internet that this upgrade also increases horsepower by a factor of 25%.

What the heck. This must be a plot from cable manufacturers and copper producers to increase their sales.

Modifying cabling to enhance sound quality without assessing drivers, speaker cones, speaker positioning (obviously will suck), DA converters.... I mean, I’d rather do this first.

2awg? Lol. Overspec.

I feel like the OP should have just asked how others are wiring their aftermarket amps and to which battery...

Actually, the big 3 has nothing to do with adding an amp. It's just beefier wire upgrades, such as ground wires in the engine bay and the Charging wire from the alt to battery. Which will help with the flow of electricity and may help people with light dimming.

Yeah I know but I’d bet 99% of the time when someone ask about the Big 3 they are referring to amp installation.
Internet search Big 3 and let me know what you find.
So take out “amp” in my post and insert “aux” or whatever else OP is using that is transferring the kind of power needed for a Big 3 upgrade.
