Hi all!

I'd like to get your take on the following and hopefully from experience. Who's running either BFGs AT02 and whos running MT Baja EXP?? How do you like either and traction offroad, snow, etc.. Let's hear it.

Thank you!

I live in Maine and I've had both - BFGs on my RAM 1500 Rebel and currently have MT Bajas on my Jeep. I have the say the MT's are quieter. So far feels like good traction too - as did the BFGs. The BFGs performed excellent in the snow - probably a combo of tires and the weight of the lifted truck, but I never felt anything less than confident when driving in the snow. I haven't had the MT's in the winter yet though...I'll have an update on that after snow start to fly!

you should post what size you are looking for..I have had KO2 and MIckey thompson bb at and mt and all three do well in Montana winters...the nod would go to the AT's tho. I have thought about the BB EXP but the 2 ply sidewall scares me a little...lots of pointy sharp sticks and rocks in Montana..

Thank you for the feedback. I've got a good deal on the MT at 37s why I was looking into them and I think they run true to 37, more then KO2s do. I think KO2s also are lighter as well vs the MT EXPs. That said, MTs are like $100 cheaper per tire then they are everyone else online or locally, just one local guy has them $100 per tire cheaper. Why I'm thinking I might go MT vs KO2s but I dunno. Hard to pick, lol.

KO2s are not that great of a tire honestly. They do all the things marginally and exceed at nothing. I've heard very good things about the newer MT tires though. But usually the more aggressive patterns. Plenty of posts about sidewall of KO2s blowing out, don't see a whole lot of failures with the MT tires.

I've had KO2s on my older Jeeps and the only problem I've always had was getting them to balance right. Always an issue. My MT mud tires on the older Jeep that I still have became harsh and hard after 25k on them. Why I can't seem to decide either MT EXP but they aren't snow rated or KO2s.

I think you will find the EXP in 37's run smaller than maybe even the KO2 in 37. even Mickey Thompson only lists them at 36.36" so they are acknowledging they are short...I wish they were not 2 ply sidewalls because I am actually looking for a shorter 37..

Just saw your location, you have lake effect snow to deal with for at least 5 months of the year. I'd go with the Baja Boss AT. There's a lot more siping to deal with ice and snow. You have my condolences as someone that lived on the other side of the state for a while, Watertown/Ft. Drum.

37s KO2 run at 35.5 and MT from everywhere I look at 36.5. MTs are Load D and KO2 are C from what I understand.

the Mickey thompsons that run bigger are the AT and MT baja bosses which are different than the baja legend EXP's you can get the KO2 37's in C and D. The EXP is rated D but Mickey Thompson confirmed it has a 2 ply sidewall..
