Great question! Bought this one:
https://www.amazon.com/AntennaX-Off-Road-13-inch-Antenna-Wrangler/dp/B00651CLCS

At about 60+ mph it beat the hell out of my mis-matched color grey plastic by the windshield. Hear someone riding swear up and down that it bent and got caught behind my mirror. DX’d that one within two weeks. Way way way too flexible imo.

Swapped it out with this one:
https://www.amazon.com/AntennaX-Replacement-Antenna-thru-Wrangler/dp/B00EA2DMJK

So far, so good! I like the look, does look like a cab antenna, and like the reviews say, have gotten a lot of questions about it being a radio or cab antenna. Does good on trails, takes branch hits well. Is long enough to actually pick up radio signals etc.

Alternatively, if the 2nd one would have not worked i would have googled short, metal, wrangler antenna, found a black one and did that.

The antenna X 13 inch is garbage. Cheap plastic that provides lousy reception. You WILL lose many stations. https://www.amazon.com/AntennaX-Off-Road-13-inch-Antenna-Wrangler/dp/B00651CLCS.

I have been looking at other antennas also for quite some time. I'm going with this one too, like "Covet" recommends. https://www.amazon.com/AntennaX-Replacement-Antenna-thru-Wrangler/dp/B00EA2DMJK
From what I've read in other posts on this forum, the 24 inch variety gets good reception and is recommended.

Either they improved the AntennaX 13" or something else as I have no issues with it whipping at high speeds and my reception has been fine. I've had it for about a month or so.
