Best place for Rocklight control unit

Just gathering feedback, where you put the control unit for your rocklights?
Searched forum and found all kinds of idea where to put the ights, but nothing on the control unit.

I got a 2019 JL Rubicon (4-door) that I plan to install an 8pc Mictuning rock light kit, connecting to AUX4

From what I can see on their website one of their controllers is waterproof and one is not. If waterproof I would put it somewhere under the Jeep, miles of real estate there. If not I would put it as high up in the engine bay as I could get it or at the top inside of a wheel well under the liner.

I think mine is waterproof.
Since I want to run it of AUX power putting it in the engine bay would save me some wiring...

When mounting under the jeep... GOOP (Automotive) or something else recommended?

Myself, I'd JB weld a couple of these on a suitable metal surface (paint removed and prepped for maximum adhesion):

They are called "click studs" or "click bond studs". Then you could un-bolt the module if you ever need to.
