Best Aftermarket Headlights for JL

With the adapters that will allow you to use any 7" JK headlight bulb the choice is awesome. I like the Morimoto super 7's a lot...looks wise I have not got them on the JL yet......But JW speaker, and many others out there with lots of reviews. If you are waiting for a dedicated 9" headlight, I do believe that it will be some time....

My opinion is the OE halogen housings with Supernova V.4 LED bulbs. That seems to give the best beam pattern and the most light output available.

You'll be hard pressed to find a better aftermarket lighting company, their stuff is top notch.

I've got my eyes on these because they're closest to OEM LED design. They're not out yet but the company said it should be readily available sometime early next year.

We have an all Quake LED lighting system, headlights, fog lights, rock lights, light bar , and cube lights with their quad lock controller and they are awesome.

I have mixed feelings about retrofits of headlights. I had Morimoto HIDs in my 14 GMC for a couple years. They put out good patterns and plenty of light. However, They had various problems over that period. Eventually I put in Factory GMC LED headlights from a 2016-17. Not quite as bright but plenty of light for low beams. Very reliable.

I am leaning strongly toward an OEM solution to install the factory LED. Rumor has it that factory LED light kits for the JL will be available by early next year. OEM LED lights tend to be a little warmer color temperature than the aftermarket stuff. JW Speaker may have warmer temperature light. I just don't like lights that are 6000 Kelvin or more. They fatigue my eyes on long trips.

Well, they are not identical. They are 7" with a bracket. The OEM ones are 9" now on the JLs.

The housing itself. Which means the housing for the JK was probably 7, with the light area being under 6 inches. I know for sure the Quake LEDs (and probably most of all the lights being sold now that are being retrofitted for the JL with adapters) measure that way.
