Hi all,

i just installed a set of 17” KMC machete wheels on 37x12.5 Copper STT Pro tores.

i went around and torqued them all down to 24 ft pounds. However, I am seeing about a 9/64” gap between the ring and the wheel. So this is the gap before the ring touches the wheel.
Is this normal or should the ring be touching the wheel? I attached a photo

thanks!

My understanding is that there should be little (smaller than that) to no gap. In Way . A. Life’s install video on YouTube, he did those exact wheels and tires and didn’t have a gap, I’d check out that video. I’d link it here, but I think the forums bans people they are scared of.

With my KMC RG Race wheels and Nitto Trail Grapplers, there is no gap.
