Hi folks! When the battery is depleted, the dash shows <1%. I noticed that if I park the Jeep for a few hours (without charging it), when I start it again, it shows 1%. Is that normal? After I drive it for a couple of minutes, it realizes it's empty and it goes back to <1% and the gas engine kicks in. But this delay in turning on the engine makes it harder to go fast right away (e.g. having to pull into fast traffic right from a stop).
It also seems to happen at higher percentages: like I park it at 53% and then when I start it it says 55%.

Don't worry about it. It's completely arbitrary. <1% generally indicates it's low enough that the engine won't turn off at idle, while at 1% it might stay in EV mode during idle or low speed events.

It's digital display of whole numbers, so if there is a charge of .9 it has to display either <1 or 1 - just like your digital speedometer will sometimes flicker between 59 and 60 mph.

If you want to ensure that you can take the holeshot, place the shifter into manual mode while you wait for go-time (that will keep the ICE running for you).

Great idea, thanks!
