Had the jeep for about a month now and unfortunately plagued with the dredded CEL (check engine light). It started when I brought it home and started charging it with a level 2 JuiceBox40 charger. Noticed it would fault while charging, and then I'd eventually see the CEL. I called Juicebox and they were able to remote into the unit and said the errors were happening because of a faulty diode. Either in the charger or the vehicle. They agreed to send out a new unit so I could test again.
While waiting a couple of weeks for the replacement charger, I used the included level 1. Had ZERO issues for the 2 weeks time. The replacement Juicebox unit arrived Tuesday. Installed it and charged my vehicle. No faults this time. 2 days of charging later, my CEL came back on.
I had already checked my fuses and gas cap initially, and haven't gotten gas since l. This afternoon I started the jeep, and the CEL is now off.
Do you think it might be the vehicle? Are they sensitive to certain chargers? Anyone have similar issues with JuiceBox?
B22A9 is the error code.
I ordered a chargepoint that will be here Sunday. I want to rule out the charger versus the vehicle itself.
I've charged at a public level 2 and no issues... weird
