Auxiliary gas tank

I'm exploring the idea deleting the rear muffler on the JL and adding a auxiliary gas tank to increase the range. Is their anyone in the group that has done this mod and or are their kits that can simplify the integration of additional the tank and lines.

While not really intended for what you are asking to do, Motobuilt makes a bolt in gas tank that fits where the muffler goes.

How to tie them together and figure out the filling aspect would be interesting, but I suppose possible.

I am scheduled to have an auxiliary gas tank installed by West Coast Off-Roaders (Vancouver, BC) in a couple of months on my JL. They carry both major auxiliary gas tank manafactures. It may be worth your time to check them out.
