i was ready to pull the trigger on this thing while its on sale but after doing some digging im reading a handful of bad reviews regarding longevity. people saying it died after a few months or right after the warranty. For $300 and from a major brand, i would expect better than that! i see the Rockville on Amazon is about half the price and doesnt have nearly as many complaints. pretty much non on failures, just disappointed with sound etc.. But plenty of failures on the Kicker....

im curious if its due to noob/improper usage? ie gain set too high? or what... i have multiple amps and subs sitting my garage in storage but i realllllly like how this thing hides under the seat. i love a good sound system but i dont want to give up any of the precious cargo space in the jeep, so this thing is ideal but not if its going to die in a year or two.

if you have one of these, or have had one, what are your thoughts? or if youre a stereo guru who has dealt with them at all. and no, im not expecting BASS or magic out of a $300 unit lol. i just want a little extra kick in the jeep and want it to LAST!

I first got a ~$100 10" unit to test out and see if I'd be satisfied. It helped but was not as much as I thought it would be, I would jump to the HS10 myself as people usually say they were pretty impressed. You can have my $100 one if you want:CWL:
My vote is still some dash 3.5"s and an HS10 and call it a day.

I did kicker speakers in dash and in soundbar, and HS10 under front passenger seat (2 door). Love it. Had it in there for 2 years so far, no issues. ?

is it possible to fit the HS10 under the drivers seat? would two of these sound even better? or would be redundant? if it wont fit, it doesnt matter lol.

im curious about putting two in my truck as well.

Here's an idea I wish I did.
Original set up, 2 8" rockford fosgate
Powered subs

1 10" hs10 under driver seat

Put two hs10 in rear area, they don't take up much space and should sound powerful
