I have a jeep on order that has sky one touch roof. I live in canada where there's lots of snow and it just came to my mind, if those roofs have any issues with lots of snow piling up on them. Anyone?

I live in a condo, semi heated underground, when I remember/have time I would wipe away the roof with a micro fiber cloth rain or snow

I only picked up my Wrangler a few weeks ago when it was already cold, I will spray 303 when I get a chance, however the SOT seem to already have some kind of water repellant, so I am not really worried.

I also drove my 2dr JK for many winters with the soft top, and there were no issues, however that was the canvas type.

No issues with mine. I was away during our big snow so it stayed on there for two nights with no issues. Pic is what was left right before I cleared it.

300 lb is the weight limit so depending on how much snow and if it's wet and heavy could be an issue.

I'd like to think the engineers at Jeep were smart enough to account for snow when designing the SOT. In saying that, I would also like to think that line workers are smart enough to know to push a fuse in.

I would like to believe that you are correct in both assertions. It may be that the second task is not even done by a human.

Actually any suspended fabric topic has weight and wind limits. The SOT is no different, and perhaps worse due to the large footprint and flat surface area that could have a lot of snow loading.

For a typical Jeep soft top the snow weight limit is 300lb. This has been published various times in different threads.

Snow can weight from 1 lb to 21 lb per cubic foot depending on moisture content. Nice fluffy stuff will be light, good snowball snow heavy.

If you are in the really wet stuff is when you need to worry as the weight can add up quickly.

This is why in the snow belt many swap back to hard tops from soft tops.
