Have a 2021 JLU Sport. I've tried the Lasfit CK switchback "Canbus compatible" LED bulbs, both the original and the new T3, and they both give me bulb out errors if used for >3 minutes or so. Are there any LED Canbus compatible switchback bulbs that truly work without errors on a JL Sport, or do I just need to suck it up and put in resistors with standard LED switchbacks?

I have JSCAN as well if that makes any of this easier but haven't made any modifictions related to the bulbs.

My oracle do the same after a period of time so my guess is no.

I have THESE from Diode Dynamics and they have been problem free for 3 years. I don't use the resistor, just changed the settings in the Jeep via jscan for LED turn signals.

The new fender chop version of lights from AAL (that uses lights from Diode Dynamics) have been flawless for the last few months on my wife's JLUR.

I've been running Oracle switchbacks for several years without issues. I use a Tazer to set my turn signals to LED.

That seems to be the ticket. CANBUS compatibility alone doesn't mean that you won't get bulb out errors I guess. When I get that error, the bulbs themselves keep flashing normally it just hyper flashes on the dash. I'll see if the issue goes away now that I have set my turn signals to LED with JSCAN.

At least Oracle tells you that you still need to program the Jeep even with their CANBUS bulbs. Lasfit needs to do the same if this is required because I didn't see any such warning on their site.

Q: I have a Sport model and I encounter a signal out error message. How can this be fixed?
A: This can be resolved by changing the Front Turn Signals to LED at your local dealership.
Thanks!

Update: After using JSCAN to change my front turns to LEDs, I have had no more bulb out warnings with the Lasfit bulbs. Even left the Jeep in the driveway facing into the sun, and let the left turn signal run for 15 minutes and no errors. Since it was happening sometimes within 2-3 minutes at stoplights before I think the fix is to enable LED turns by programming.

Just curious, do you have the LED package on your Jeep?

No I have just a Sport S that came with incandescent lighting. I installed Oracle LED Headlights, those work fine without any programming. I also got LED tails that were designed for the Sport, so no programming needed there either.

It's just the front turns I had issues with. I guess I thought that being CANBUS compatible meant that they would work in place of incandescents without issue but that doesn't seem to be the case. After programming the front turns to be LED I have had no more bulb out issues with them.
