@CarbonSteel _ any recommendation on T-Case fluid? I can always use the Mopar one, but wondering if all ATF-4 are pretty much the same?

Amazon.com: Valvoline (VV346-6PK ATF+4 Automatic Transmission Fluid - 1 Quart, (Case of 6) : Automotive

Since I will be crawling under the Jeep, might as well change this one too
The Mopar requirements/specifications for fluid to be labeled as ATF+4 mean that it has to be 100% synthetic so no matter what brand it will be (essentially) the same. I had some Ravenol that I used because the term "synthetic" is different in the US versus other parts of the world such as Germany where synthetic has to meet a certain percentage of a certain Group Number for base stock.

In the US Group II+ or Group III can be labeled as a synthetic whereas in Germany it must contain a certain percentage of Group IV.

Does it matter? Probably not as long as you change the fluid on a regular basis. My mantra has always been more frequent changes with "whatever oil" is better than long oil change intervals with "super duper oil".

Beat me to amsoil.

Seriously, if you have lockers, avoid the dead fish smell, don't use modifiers.

Good luck finding a synthetic gear oil (aka 75W-90, 75W-110, and 75W-140) that does not have friction modifiers--they essentially do not exist.

If you do not want friction modifiers, then you are looking for a conventional oil such as a 80W-90, 85W-90, 85W-140.

Additionally, friction modifiers have ZERO impact on lockers (air or electric). It ONLY impacts limited slip axles so there are no concerns for FM with lockers.

Redline makes a 75W-90NS GL-5+

For transaxles and transmissions...not for axles-- it clearly states:

Since most GL-5 gear oils for differentials are too slippery for manual transmissions, Red Line offers these products that ensure proper shifting while providing ultimate wear protection.

You will not easily (if at all) find a synthetic gear oil that does not have FM in it.

It's a fully synthetic GL-5 without limited slip additive, which some manual transmissions take, much like Rubicon locker differentials. This is their 75W-90 LS gear oil, but without the additive.

It clearly states it is for transmissions. I would not use it in an axle, but feel free to do so.

FM does not hurt lockers, so not sure why that is even a point of discussion.

It's a point of discussion because it was brought up in this thread. You have stated a product does not exist when it does, regardless if you want to use or recommend it or not. I understand that you are looked up to as a God on this forum (as I have been on other forums) so I'm not trying to step on your toes or embarrass you, but rather offer up an alternative for those users who desire such.

It is a GL-5 gear oil, which I have personally used in other applications. I did not use it in our 2023 as I stuck to the factory specified 75W-85 weight (which Redline only offers as a LS).

I said if at all and Redline does not market this as gear oil for axles. But nothing is impossible and I absolutely do not see myself as a god or infallible.

If someone wants to go out of their way to find a non-FM synthetic gear oil that provides zero benefit or detriment in a locker axle, I certainly would not stop or dissuade them. I might question their logic, but would shrug and move on...just like now.

Redline markets it as a GL-5 gear oil without friction modifier/limited slip additive, which is what some manual transmissions require, so it's become a rather niche offering of theirs.
