Since I took delivery of my Jeep in February, I’ve had: a transmission leak (they fixed it), tail light malfunction (they fixed it), blind spot monitor failure (they fixed it), push to start not working (service dept and Jeep Cares Rep says Chrysler is aware of this problem but they have no fix as of yet).

They have been unable to reproduce or get error codes when: ESS has caused it to lurched coming out of autostop, transmission failed to engage when in reverse (RPM’s went up but vehicle didn’t move - I have video), backup camera has failed to turn on (I have photo), vehicle has gone into Acc mode with Push to Stop instead of shutting off on numerous occasions (I have video available), Radio has stayed on after vehicle is off even after I open driver's side door (I have video), satellite radio breaks up so bad it’s not worth listening to the news because I miss 1/2 the story, Uconnect screen has frozen (I have pics), and apple CarPlay works inconsistently. Most of these issues are recurrent, but inconsistent (except autostop lurch - I just turn it off now).

Chrysler says the vehicle is “operating as designed.” I've been told video and pictures are not adequate to demonstrate the malfunction and prompt repair attempts. They have to be able to get codes or reproduce the problem in the shop in order to attempt to repair these issues.

Most recently I got an “Error Code 24” during a scheduled software update (got a pic) and the touchscreen is heating up more than seems normal. Back to the service department on Friday. Wish me luck!

Contact you dealer gm or a nearby dealer gm and ask to be put in contact with your regional customer service manager. They should be able to help you faster and better than going through corp hq

Good news, perhaps. Chrysler has finally agreed to replace the Infotainment System. Hoping to see the replacement next Friday.

What a headache you’ve gone through!! I would’ve asked for a completely new JL. Your current JL was probably made on a late Friday.

I tried to get a new JL the 4rd day I had it when it was flat-bedded to the dealer because it sprung a transmission leak. I begged them to back out the transaction and to return my 2015 JK, a vehicle I had absolutely no problems with and absolutely loved (the only reason I upgraded was for the improved creature comforts - I do enjoy my heated steering wheel!). They wouldn't budge. I've had no success with any other efforts either, despite having plenty of pictures and videos to support my concerns. It's been in the shop at least 8 separate occasions now, and I've only had it since February.

This experience has definitely not left me feeling all warm and fuzzy about Jeep or Chrysler. For the price of a loaded Sahara, I can get into a lot of other very nice SUV's. I love my Jeep when it's working, but the headaches are outweighing the joy these days.

I had a Liberty that would start up fine when cold, but would die at the first traffic stop if the engine was warmed up. It did not die again unless the engine was cold again. No error codes. This even happened for the service department! Was finally told that they would have to replace every electronic module on the engine to try to find out what the problem was. If no error code...Jeep would be unable to determine what the problem was. I traded it in after the fifth excuse.

The "unable to duplicate condition" response or the "there are no codes indicating an issue" response don't help anyone. Chrysler apparently won't authorize work unless there is a code or service can reproduce the problem. Whatever happened, to the customer is always right and trying to troubleshoot the problem without the code or ability to reproduce the problem? I have video of problems and they still won't try to troubleshoot some of these issues because they can't reproduce them or pull a code. They're finally getting me a new infotainment system, but not until I brought it in multiple times, caught a pic of an "Error Code 24," and had pictures showing the surface of the screen was up to 124 degrees.

Lol the “customer is always right” may be fine for 3$ burritos at Chipotle, but not for thousand dollar repairs and 40k vehicles. Sad but true I’m afraid,

You can check with your state attorney general and lemon laws. Here in Ohio you get three tries to fix a problem I think then they have to take it back as a lemon. I had a Pontiac Aztec bought back as a lemon. Don’t judge me for buying it.
