amp pro vs drs1

Hi im been looking to upgrade my factory alpine system. I have the speaker boxes for the front and adaptors for the rear. Im looking at getting the polk audio mm6502 component set that is 125 watts rms and 375 peak. Still undesided on amp. Leaning towards jl audo subs either 2 10s or 2 12s.

So my question is which is better to go with the amp pro or the dsr1?

How good is the dsp in the dsr1? If i go dsr1 it opens up a lot more amp options.

Want to have dsp capabily to fine tune the everything just dont know should just get it in an amp or the control unit.

I had the AmpPro that came with my Quart Stage 6 and I swapped it out for a DSR1 and I feel that it is better. I like the curve of the bass boost with the PLC knob. Also easier to install. You can use the adapter that takes the plug from the factory amp. AmpPro uses a T connector between the HU and the harness. I have my DSR sitting on top of the inverter stack under the steering wheel column and there is no interference with the column. I am intending to get the Jeep to a car stereo store with an RTA but I am going to wait until I replace the Quart speakers with a set of Infinity Reference series speakers. The DSR is really easy to use and can be used on a phone or iPad. Pretty sure there is some tweaking that can be done to improve the sound but very happy with the sound quality now and I have not touched it except to set the time alignment, which I did with a file that was sent to me from @Hpc3.

Thanks for the info, with the dsr1 did you have to buy the additional wiring harness that is sold to hook it up?
I’m leaning towards the dsr1 because it opens up my amp options instead just going jl audio which dosent meant the power demands for the speakers I’m looking at.

There are two adapter options. One is the T connector that plugs in between the HU and the harness behind the dash and the other takes the plug that goes into the amp that is on the drivers side. As before, I used that adapter. Metra Axcess makes an amp rack if you have not seen it yet. A lot less expensive than the JL Audio rack.

Can be purchased without the amp wiring kit for less.

Quart also makes a sub that is a drop in to the odd size factory enclosure. Unfortunately can’t buy it without their amp but if you are concerned with space in the back it is a good option. They also now make a tailgate sub as well.

Nice, I will be removing my rear in floor sub. My plan is since I’m added the diabalical slipstream I’m going to mount the amps to the inside of that and have 2 subs sit behind the front seats. Since I have removed the rear seat and I think there should be enough room to fit the subs there.
