I'm still within the Powertrain warranty - that's the painful part of not realizing I HAD to bring it to the Jeep dealership.

Read the fine lines of the warranty, you might be able to make a warranty claim from what Google says. I understand that Google is not gospel as well so you might still be out the money.

Not in the 3.6 it is not. Cam/Rocker is probably the #1 failure of the engine.
WOW, you are right, thanks for the info, good data. Number 2 and 4 on the list:

  1. Pentastar 3.6L Engine Problem: Ticking Sound in the Engine
If you hear a ticking sound in your Chrysler, Jeep, or Dodge, it’s often a symptom of a 3.6 Pentastar rocker arm failure, also known as a cam follower failure.

  1. 3.6L FCA Pentastar V6 Engine Problem: Tapping, Knocking, Rattling
Tapping, knocking or rattling in your 3.6 Pentastar engine may be a symptom of an oil pump failure. However, before you panic, these noises may not indicate a complete failure but instead are warning you of a drop in oil pressure. This can happen for a variety of reasons, but it is often due to sand deposits left behind in a cylinder head.

What engine is this for?

Poor Stellantis posted a half-year NET PROFIT OF ONLY $12.1 BILLION.

They need all the money they can get...
