So certain bass frequencies produce a lot of buzz even at low volume. It's very distracting and reduces the enjoyment. What could be the issue and would it be covered by the warranty?

Mine does it too and it’s not the vibration that people are talking about where they are placing a business card folded into the gateway module! It should be covered under warranty but mine is not so bad that I want to take it in just for that right now! I have the 8.4 UConnect with Alpine. I cannot narrow it down to the sub though. I hear it in different areas.

I find the whole Alpine system is terrible. I had a Bose system in my last car and it quality and definition was much better. They should of given the driver control of the top speakers (roll bar) individually, not just part of front or back and side to side'

A buzz is always vibration. The fact that it happens at certain frequencies has to do with the resonance frequency of whatever it is that is vibrating. This doesn’t rule out that there might be an internal part of the speaker that is loose, but it is definitely vibration.

I’d say get a frequency generator app on your phone, sweep through the frequency spectrum until you get the loudest buzz, then try and locate it on your vehicle to narrow down the potential sources.

I don’t think the speaker system is good either. I guess that is what comes with having a wrangler, or almost any car for that matter. Placing good speaker systems in a car without factoring the acoustics of the space will always produce a somewhat disappointing sound.

I was really looking forward to what it would be like to hear the sound from above with the roll bar speakers. They should of had More speaker control.

Update,

The buzz is coming from my top roll bar right behind my head. I can reach up and stop it just by putting my hand on it near the cetner of the roll bar. How would this be fixed?
