Hi.. first of all , i did my homework , search this forum for this but i couldnt find what i wanted.
I want to upgrade just little bit of my sound of jeep jl , came with 7inch radio which is not premium system . So i upgraded dash speakers and soundbar speakers also , since then i been wanted just little more power .
I learned i need 2 devices for this .
1. Such as pac ampro ch41
2. Amp such as alpine ktp 445u

Purchasing both of them is out of my budget.
So.. here r my questions .
Is it possible just connect the alpine ktp 445u into the jeep ?
If that is possible , where should i connect output speaker cables ?
THANKS SO MUCH INADVANCE.

You will need something to drop the output of the factory HU down to line level.

I’m thinking about going the same route as you. Please share and update if you end doing this.

I am doing something similar using an NVX 4 Ch amp on my 21. I have all new speakers already and just bought the amp ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NGPND2F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 ). I went ahead and purchased a T harness from crutchfield, so I dont have to cut the harness, and I plan to mod the harness to make it work but still better than buying the netaudio at 150$ ( https://www.crutchfield.com/p_794DSPCH3/iDatalink-HRN-DSP-CH3.html?tp=6348 ). I am going to test it this weekend as long as they both show up. I did the Alpine in my JK and Subaru without an issue, cut and splice in and go.

I have heard some need to deal with a line converter or inline resistors on the newer JLs but then I have seen and heard plenty saying they are not needed so its a guessing game and I am gonna test my luck without them and hopefully the amp will cover that. Ill update hopefully by Sunday with some results depending on shipping.

Low-Level & Speaker Level Inputs: The Alpine KTP-445U Head Unit Power Pack includes a 5.5" low-level/speaker-level input harness. The harness features a proprietary 10-pin connector on one end that plugs into the KTP-445U and two pair of stereo RCA inputs that connect to your source unit's front & rear RCA outputs using a pair of stereo RCA cables (sold separately). If your source unit is not equipped with RCA outputs and only features speaker-level outputs, then you can cut off the included low-level/speaker-level input harness' RCA connectors (or use the optional Speaker Wire to RCA Adapters) and connect the KTP-445U to your source unit's front & rear speaker outputs.
You take the speaker wires coming out of the factory head unit/amp and run them into the alpine amp inputs. Then take the output of the alpine amp and connect the wires from the amp to the wires going to the speakers. It's better to use a wiring harness adapter if you can so you don't actually cut the wires.

It's straightforward work but tedious. If you've never done this kind of wiring before it can be intimidating but don't let that stop you. It's not as hard as you might think. The wires are all color coded and the instructions tell you which wire is what so you know what to connect together.

If you look over at Crutchfield you can usually figure out what plug adapters you need. They're not usually terribly expensive.

Plug it all in, along with the power wire and the remote power switch, adjust the gain to your liking, and it should give you the power you're looking for.

Hey, so yea, I actually finished it all up last night. I used the harness and cut it down to just the speakers and capped off the rest. I did have to add the 47ohm resistors to make it work, didn't have any sound without. got it all working and just in process of reworking a relay in the engine bay with a good signal wire. Only issue I was really having was a good ground on the inside of the cab. I have mine tucked up tight to the hvac ducts under the dash behind the glove box. Had to run my power thru the drivers side as I could not get enough room to work the grommet on the pass side. I tapped into the ign accessory wire on the aux harness for signal vs the cig lighter. I am planning to fuse tap the Cig fuse in the the engine bay for signal for my relay.

I finished installing alpine ktp 445u with 7inch basic sound system. I had to attach resistors right before amp. Sounds r good , this is what i wanted . The alpine ktp445u has both side cables , one is input from head unit with rca cables the other one is speaker cables . I cut the rca connectors and connected with harness that i got from clutchfield , but the cables were too short so i extended those .
First , i just connected without resistors but no sound so i added those resistors. There is very detailed diy at forum . I learned alot from his post.

Hi.. there
I posted about alpine ktp445u with 7 inch basic radio . I need some help , can u help ?
Let me tell u what i did , u might see my post how i installed the amp. I think there is no problems with connection . I connected power and ground cable to harness power and ground cables , and cut the rca connector from alpine ktp 445u to connect speaker cables from harness I followed all the directions , but i had to install resistors , with out that no sound . Even now ,sounds comming out of only front right side speaker , which is ifinity 3.5 inch speaker. And sometimes , all speakers r working but mostly only one speaker . Do u have any idea ?
thanks so much.
