Alien Sunshade 2024

Has anyone tried installing an Alien Sunshade on a 2024 yet? I have a set from my 19 that I was going to sell because they didn’t seem like they’d be compatible with the 24 that I have on order. But now they updated their Amazon listing and said just to leave a few bungees off. Just wondering if anyone has tried it yet and if this is a good solution. Seems like they’d flap around in the wind a lot without those bungees. I was hoping they’d come up with a new version because I love the product.

I installed some on my 24 2dr from Shadeidea that i got on Amazon, just had to stretch the bungee cords a bit more to go over the extra width of the airbags. I know its probably not the safest or smartest thing to do in case they go off in an accident buuut I wanted a bit of shade

I went with Spiderweb Shade since they have a 2024 specific solution that does not wrap around the airbags.

How did you get it on? I have it secured in the front but can’t get around in the back. These bungees are crazy short!!!!

sorry a little late on a reply. I just installed this shade on my 2024 2 door. I used all the bungees, not concerned about airbags. Also the front was super tight, so I just lowered the front windshield To make it easier. The shade seems really good quality and durable and it is a super tight fit pulling them bungees.

Had a hard time getting the back bungees on too. I purchased both the front and back cover and just used 2 of the bungees for the rear. You can always buy replacement bungees if needed.

I got another shade but had to buy extendable bungees. They were easier to pull and longer. Eventually i got it to work ;-)

Any of you with the Alien Sunshade installed also have roll bar padding/covers? I ordered a 2 piece Alien sunshade for my '23 JLU and was also thinking of doing some rollbar padding--is this setup workable? Thanks!

I do not see why not. The bungee maybe harder to use or maybe require to use longer one if you have a lot of padding. On my side I can get a finger under the bungee with moderate force.

That's what we ran into, the tension was incredible..... We sent it back and bought a Spiderweb Shade.

did you validate the package have all the correct bungee cord ?
I did not got any issue on my side. When I pull it out for the winter I placed all the bungee back in their respective location on the shade for next installation to be sure to not mix the length.
