Does anyone know a sunshade that can be left on full time with the soft top? And I mean no detaching and folding back or anything, literally want to leave it fully installed full time.

I've got an Alienshade in mine full time. Only wish they had cut-outs for the roof latches but it hasn't stopped me from putting the top back.

Why? Take out the windows and leave the top in place. There’s your sun shade, aka safari mode.

I like the uv protection and that is mellows the wind, but retains the full open feel and light.. I have had a mesh top on my JK for two years and it’s probably my favorite accessory

I was looking at the jay top, you have to fold it back, but they added a structural support so it’s a clean straight edge when folded.. that is probably the best choice.. I have the Jtop in my JK and I love it, very good quality.. and no gaps.. which really controls the wind

I have the Spiderweb shade and love it. I leave it when putting the top in safari mode and will leave it on when the doors and windows go back on.

Saw a few things on the forum stating the spiderweb shade can rub the pain off in a few spots, have you had issues?

Yea, I haven't seen anyone that offers an option that lets you access the freedom top latches.

Bestop is SUPPOSED to offer a retractable screen but they've been dragging their butts on getting it done.

Same here. Installed mine in April when I bought it and it's been left in place with the soft top constantly being dropped.

Bought the Dirtydog sunshade. I leave it on all the time. Had on in my JK and left it on for 6 years. On my jl it will not come off.

I second the alien sunshade. I got the front and rear for the 4 door and really dig them. It definitely lowers the headroom but the advantages out way that by miles. They were super easy to install.

Note: I used the front “middle of the seat” bungies on both sunshades to save clutter with extra bungies in the middle B pillar area.
