Aftermarket Steering Wheel recommendations?

Hello- I am looking for input/suggestions on an aftermarket steering wheel and whether this is risky to do on your own? I know to disconnect the battery prior to installation, but are there any other risks I should be aware of? Thank you!

I installed a nice Grant steering wheel on my 07 Yukon Denali that was way better than the factory one and I was still able to retain all features of the steering wheel (audio controls, heated, etc). Comparing my previous Grant steering wheel and my Wrangler steering wheel: I much prefer the Wrangler.

One thing to note on the JL’s with the Aux battery is that you’re not fully disconnected simply by removing the negative terminal on the main battery. You also have to remove the Aux negative wire from the terminal as well. Then I like to let it sit for 10-15 minutes just to be on the safe side while dealing with the Safety Restraint System.

On my 07 Yukon I did not need a steering wheel puller. It came off pretty easily (good idea to leave the steering wheel nut on the end if the bolt so you don’t yank the wheel in your face). Not sure if you’d need a puller for the JL.

The most time consuming part of the swap is swapping over all the OEM steering wheel controls to the new wheel.

I have bought from these guys twice now and are love with the wheels. The diameter is thick and they feel rock solid. And you can add heat to them.
