I ordered some of the AEV yellow center caps for my Pintlers. I like the wheels but with everything being so dark (black lugs), I thought the yellow center caps might add a cool contrast. My question is, can I replace the center caps without removing the wheel from the Jeep? My thought is that I can drill a hole in the center cap an just yank if off with a hook tool? Does anyone think that will work? I really don't want to pull the wheels off again because I have a trip planned and have to focus my time on other things. TIA

it would probably work but why not just wait till after your trip to do it. you could probably sell those caps and recoup some of your $.

I have pulled my wheels off 4 times in 5000 miles. I have no desire to do it again anytime soon. As for selling the Oynx colored caps, it took me 4 months to sell my stock wheels and tires. I can't imagine that people would line up to buy them. The yellow ones however, they were on backordered forever it seems. That is why I wasn't able to get them when I bought the wheels. I still have the cap off my spare. I've looked it over pretty well, I think the drill and hook idea is going to work.

In case anyone cares. Worked like a charm. Drilled a small hole and used a corkscrew to rip them out. Less than 10 minutes for all four and that includes getting and putting away the cordless drill.

Come on, you know it's all about the Jeep porn!

Awesome Rubi you've got there! The yellow caps really give those wheels the right amount of pop!
Thanks! I don't mind being called out. I meant to take a photo but forgot. I'm glad you called me out.
