Depending on how much room you need, it won’t hurt anything to take the zerk out and use a shorter cap. I’m guessing that probably won’t be an option though.

I might be in the minority, but it don’t grease my trailer bearings with the zerk anyway. I prefer to pack them by hand.
I just worry with full bearing exposure since the Raceline caps aren't even kind of waterproof. This thing is setup to go about anywhere the jeep will with the exception of hardcore crawling, and we'll be doing 2000 mile plus one ways with it.

I don’t think I explained clearly. You absolutely need a grease cap of some sort. What I’m getting at is if the zerk fitting is preventing a short cap from being used, the zerk fitting can be removed without any negative consequence.

If that won’t give you clearance, I’d either leave the center cap off, or hole saw it to fit the grease cap that’s there now.

10-4, makes more sense. I'll see what I can find.

I haven't used needle zerks before, but would those work and be servicable?
