? AC Vent Cover Decor by Threedom ?

I want to like this idea, but every time I look at Threedom's stuff, it seems like it's at least twice as expensive as I would expect it to be. That and, if you really wanted to bring your HVAC vents, vinyl would be much simpler for many reasons (basically flat, easier to remove, way cheaper).

I hear you.... to each his own though.....but absolutely no way, am I putting a cheapo vinyl sticker ( ) on my vent doors or elsewhere in the cab....

IF I was concerned about the $, If I was $ poor, etc., I'd rather just not buy, not put something on my vehicle period..

I want something that presents well, is unique, personalizes and hopefully, proudly Made in the USA on my vehicle. Also, something that I can easily resell someday and recoop most of what I spent on it.

In regard to the Threedom badge, Made in the USA offering....
Yes, $27.50 total with shipping seems like a tad much until you see the product offering/hold it in your hand. research how it is made and what it is made of..... (Impressive, excellent detail, quality). (Not Chinese crapola)

Then, after seeing/holding do the math.... the precut 3M Automotive attachment disc that Threedom sends out with the badge, if you went to purchase that 3M disc elsewhere, it would cost you about $4.00.

and .... Threedom sends the badge to you via USPS and Threedom pay's that.. which is $4+..

... then the custom design badge itself... the badge is not printed on some guys 3D printer in his garage.

Threedom badges are printed on a very very expensive industrial printer, goes through a few treatment processes during production/and is made of Nylon PA12 - An Engineering Grade Material..

Anyway, in the end to me the $27.50 price by Threedom, to me is not bad at all....especially considering, that I know someday, I can resell the badge (or say a Threedom fob or other Threedom offering) for a few $ less then what I paid for it.

I should mention... Threedom offerings are that good ...and ....Made in the USA by fellow JL/JT Owner's who are also are Forum Sponsor's..

Disclaimer: Yes, I get all my Threedom goodies free as I am a tester for Threedom. I can tell you though, if I did not get the Threedom goodies free, I would be buying them.

Well, to each their own, but "cheapo vinyl sticker" is a bit of a straw-man. The vinyl that is used for auto wraps (like the 651 stuff) is incredibly durable, and meant to hold up to weather and everything else that a vehicle exterior can handle. If you consider that too "cheapo" to go inside your cab, then I have to wonder what is going on inside your cab... lol

And to your credit, I went to the Threedom site and couldn't find a price for these, so I assumed they were more than this. I visited their booth at Jeep Beach, and saw that they were asking $50 for the little plastic door key covers, and $50+ for the key fob replacements. I assumed these would be in that ballpark.

Is this worth the $27 to me? No, but it's definitely better than what I was expecting.

I have no qualms with Threedom, nor do I have any doubts about their quality. But just like you see vinyl as "cheapo", to me, this is still just 3D printed plastic. Neat plastic, but still just plastic. The value isn't there for me no matter what materials they use.

This Flip Flops badge has really been a hit with my buddies in Florida.. After seeing a few guys ordered one or another design Threedom badge..

This Threedom, custom design badge, today was fastened to my gal pal's, grand kid's bicycle... he is a Jurassic / TRex lover... He went nutso over it! The detail on these caps is terrific...

There was a big demand for F Bomb .... so Threedom started offering that one ... it is really a popular one.

A local gal I know installed a Threedom, Sun Flower badge as in this pic and a flip flops badge on her JL ... I got to see in person today.

I have flip flops on one of my vent doors so I knew what that looked like...

The Sun Flower badge she installed really looked great. The detail on Threedom badges always impresses me..

There are parts to make the defroster spread the heat over the front windshield more evenly. 3d printing sounds like a good route to make a fix for it.

Actually, a few days ago I sent Carl, one of the owner's of Threedom, a link to the forum post about the diverters a forum member here 3D printed for me to lets say test drive..
