AAL fender light with dead leds

Hi all. I’ve had my AAL fender chip bracket DRL kit for a little over a year now and I notice the other, actually my gf did, that I had some sections of the leds out. Anyone else have this issue. If you’re running the AAL fender DRL kit, how’s yours holding up?

Reach out to AAL, they should replace it. I know they replaced a bunch that were yellowing like yours as well.

Yeah those are getting replaced in a couple weeks. It’s been hit or miss with availability lately.

I bolted my new set on last spring and the paint / powder coating came off after a few months of winter use. Both brackets are rusted after one winter and the drivers side lamp quit working all together a few months ago.

I tested the "light out fix" and factory wiring to confirm that the issue is in the lamp itself. I didn't post thinking it may be a one off. Maybe these work fine in California.

Damn. Yeah I sent them an email as I’m trying to get a status update on an order I placed. We will see what they say. Every now and then these lights would trigger the blinker out notice on the dash even with the tazer fix. Not a big deal but it does get annoying with it happening at least once a month give or take.

Have the same issue, had mine for almost two years and I did contact AAL. Since its way past the 1 year warranty they offered me to only purchase the lights instead of the full kit... Kind of disappointed that the quality of these lights are sub par, they should last longer than a couple of years.

They offered me a link to the warranty kits. Basically the lights at a very discounted price. Since I’m past my warranty still a solid deal I guess.

It's not really that much of a discount, for the pair it's $55 less than the full kit with no additional warranty if they fail. So you aren't saving anything, I might feel a little better if they offered free shipping or additional warranty for the replacement.

Well considering the original set cost about $354. The discounted lights cost $60 each, I’d still be paying half for a set of a better version replacements as mine are one of the earlier sets.

Say what!? I would be happy paying $60 per light, the link they sent me is charging $135 per light. They are just the standard one color not the RGB.

Yup. I got the non RGB light as well so. I wonder why mine is priced less?
