Figured might as well start a build thread for the Jeep :like:

Ordered my 19 JLU sport S back in October of 18 and picked it up from the dealer in January of 19. Pretty basic platform to start with, only options I selected was the limited slip rear and alpine stereo upgrade and part of my deal trading in my 2015 JK was they added a set of wheels and tires.
So once signed, they ordered in me a set of Kumho KL71 35x12.5 17 on a set of procomp series 97
After getting the Jeep home I put in an order for Rock Krawlers 2.5” stock mod. I kept my rear arms from my JK to swap over and plan to order the front lowers at a later date.
With that kit I ran EVO’s shock extensions so a bit before ordering my adventure series front lowers and RK’s TT shocks. Man I can’t believe how much travel I was limited too with just the extensions and stock shocks
The front bumper and winch also transferred over from my JK. Built by a good friend that owns his own fab shop in southern Ontario, I wanted to change it up a bit so I cut and rewelded the stinger into a bull bar. I also made my own bracket to mount my CB and on board air

Quick update and huge shoutout to Marcus at @River City Offroad for getting me parts fast!
Had a meet up with some other JL’s off the forums and my friends at an offroad park in Michigan last weekend and before I was set to go down I noticed I smacked a couple of the bolt heads on front diff so messaged Marcus and he sent me out a rancho diff skid The morning after Independence Day (messaged him July 3rd)

The Jeep wheeled awesome at the park, loved the valving in the TT shocks and the articulation from the longer travel.
And of course had to do a comparison flex to my buddies 3.5 metal cloak lift haha

what front sway disconnects are you using?

also - is this a manual or auto? wondering if the 35's are significantly noticeable with the 6 MT.

thanks!

I’m actually just running the stock rear ones up front. I had quick disconnects on my JK but I drive around all season with the front disconnected so figured no use spending the money this time on them

I’m auto, there is a difference with the added weight of the tires and steel wheels but I am still happy with the stock heating on my area
Fuel quality, elevation and average temperature will all play a factor in the need for gears, this is why you see so much conflicting info on it
Up here we still have non ethanol blend fuel in our pumps so that right there is a big contributor to helping the Jeep still have some jam in turning the tires

thanks for the info! not ready to go without the sway links yet...

I think with the manual I'll need to do some other work if I go 35's - seems like they do ok on the autos.

thanks again!
